Dr. Sobhi Basheer
Co-CEO
Dr. Basheer, Co CEO and the founder of the company, is a leading expert in the domain of enzyme technology. He is a co-founder of the R&D center-The Galilee Society.
Dr. Basheer founded Zeituna, a company that developed an enzymatic process for the solidification of oils for the food industry. He also founded Enzymotec, which develops, produces, and markets biofunctional lipid ingredients worldwide, based on an innovative enzyme technology.
Dr. Basheer served as a member of the scientific committee for the Technology Incubators at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Israel. He serves as a member of other scientific committees in the industry, as well as in governmental institutions.
Dr. Basheer received his D.Sc. in biotechnology (enzymology) from the Technical Institute of Switzerland (ETH-Z). His research work included a two-year post-doctoral term at the National Food Research Institute in Tsukuba, Japan, followed with a second two-year post-doctoral term at the Faculty of Food Engineering and Biotechnology at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa.
Mr. Nehemya Zamosh
Co CEO, Director and Partner
Mr. Zamosh was the VP Sales and Marketing of ITURAN Ltd., a public-traded Israeli company between 2002-2007 and CEO of ITURAN USA between the years 2007-2011, in charge of establishing the North American operation for ITURAN Ltd.
Mr. Zamosh is a director in few companies and is a Business developer with independent capabilities to lead and execute.
Mr. Zamosh is a certified lawyer, a member of the Israeli Bar Association and holds an MBA from the Kellogg School Of Management, Northwestern University, USA.
Mr. Shlomi Oren
COO & Partner
Mr. Oren is the Chief Operations Officer of the company and partner. He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Ben Gurion University. He has 22-years of experience in project management. Mr. Oren was one of the COO’s and a partner of Meptagon Ltd. – A company that specializes in the design and construction of large production lines for different industries. As a COO Mr. Oren has directly managed a staff of about 650 employees.
Mr. Eli Cohen
Company Controller
Mr Eli Cohen, CPA is the controller in charge of setting up the foreign JV’s and monitoring and auditing the biodiesel production plants abroad.
He prepares the project budgets and business plans.
Between 1999-2005 worked for ERNST & YOUNG reaching the level of senior manager. He managed one of the firms leading teams specializing in real estate.
From 2005-2007 served as Head of Research Grants at Weizmann Institute of Science, managing the largest unit in the financial division.
From 2008-2012 served as CFO of a private Israeli company by the name of DFI Dairy Services Ltd. The company’s main activities were: investing in planning, constructing and operating of large scale dairy farms abroad (Turkey, Romania, Ukraine, etc.), owning an Israeli Fish Farm, and investing in green energy.
Mr. Usama Mohsen
Chief Process Engineer
Mr. Usama Mohsen, Chief Process Engineer, has six years of experience in chemical and biotechnological processes, advancing products from early-stage research up to their industrial level. Prior to joining EnzymoCore, Mr. Mohsen served as a research engineer and a laboratory supervisor at Genegrafts Ltd., in Israel. He has authored several articles on molecular biology and genetic engineering.
Mr. Mohsen holds a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Ort Braude College in Karmiel, Israel.
Mr. Saleem Shehab
CFO
Mr. Saleem Shehab, CFO of the company, is a certified public accountant since 2006 with a solid background in finance, accounting, and operations management.
Prior to his position at EnzymoCore, he served as controller at Mind CTI, a Nasdaq-traded company from Yokneam, Israel and as senior auditor and accountant at Ernst & Young in Haifa, Israel.
Saleem has a legal background. He practiced corporate law at the law offices of Goldfarb Seligman & Co in Tel Aviv, Israel. Bar admission from the Israeli Bar Association on 2006.
He holds B.A. in accounting and business administration and LL.B., both from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
